1. Content Ownership

All videos referenced or displayed within Video Chain Maker are hosted on YouTube and remain the property of their respective creators and copyright holders.

Video Chain Maker does not upload, host, copy, store, or redistribute any video content.

All clips are stored only as:

  • video IDs
  • timestamps
  • titles
  • descriptive metadata

2. Use of YouTube Embeds

Video Clip Directory uses the official YouTube IFrame Embed Player to display video clips directly from YouTube’s servers.

By design:

  • Videos play inside the official YouTube player
  • All branding, ads, controls, and tracking remain intact
  • No attempt is made to alter, download, or bypass YouTube functionality

This service complies with:

  • YouTube Terms of Service
  • YouTube API Services Terms of Service

3. User-Submitted Clips

Users may submit time-coded references (“clips”) to publicly available YouTube videos.

By submitting a clip, users confirm that:

  • The video is publicly accessible on YouTube
  • They are not uploading copyrighted media
  • They are not impersonating creators or misrepresenting ownership
  • They understand that all playback occurs on YouTube’s platform

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the clips they submit.


4. Fair Use & Purpose

Video Clip Directory exists to support:

  • discovery
  • reference
  • commentary
  • education
  • indexing of public video segments

The platform does not claim ownership of referenced content and does not encourage redistribution or re-uploading.


5. Abuse & Misuse

The following are not permitted:

  • Automated or bulk submissions
  • Spam, misleading titles, or keyword abuse
  • Attempting to bypass YouTube playback
  • Linking to private, restricted, or non-public videos

Video Clip Directory reserves the right to remove or disable access to clips that violate these terms.


6. No Affiliation

Video Clip Directory is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or YouTube.


7. Copyright Concerns

Because all videos are streamed directly from YouTube, copyright owners should manage rights through YouTube’s own copyright systems.
