Video Chains Code Of Conduct
The Video Chain Maker (VCM) and Video Clip Directory (VCD) are community-driven tools designed to help people discover, curate, and share meaningful moments from publicly available YouTube™ videos.
To keep this space useful, respectful, and compliant, all users are expected to follow the guidelines below.
1. Be Respectful
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or abuse.
- No content targeting individuals or groups with the intent to shame, intimidate, or provoke harm.
- No encouragement of violence, self-harm, or illegal activity.
2. Be Honest and Accurate
- Do not impersonate other individuals, creators, or organizations.
- Titles and descriptions should accurately reflect the clips in a Video Chain.
- Do not mislead viewers with false context, clickbait, or manipulated narratives.
3. Respect Creators and Copyright
VCM and VCD do not host video files. All clips are embedded from YouTube™ and remain the property of their original creators.
- Do not claim ownership of videos or clips you did not create.
- Whenever possible, credit original creators.
- Do not use Video Chains to intentionally bypass paywalls, copyright protections, or creator restrictions.
4. Follow YouTube™ Community Guidelines
All content shared through VCM and VCD must comply with YouTube™ Community Guidelines and YouTube™ Terms of Service.
- No pornographic or sexually explicit material.
- No graphic violence or shocking content.
- No hate speech, extremist content, or misinformation.
- No encouragement of dangerous or illegal behavior.
5. Privacy and Personal Information
- Do not share private or personal information about yourself or others.
- No doxxing, leaked material, or private communications.
- Respect the privacy of individuals appearing in videos.
6. Spam and Abuse
- No spam, automated submissions, or repetitive low-quality content.
- No attempts to manipulate rankings, visibility, or system limits.
- No malicious links or deceptive redirects.
7. Enforcement
We reserve the right to remove content, limit features, or block access if these guidelines are violated.
Enforcement actions may include content removal, temporary restrictions, or permanent bans depending on severity and repetition.
8. Reporting Content
If you encounter a Video Chain that violates this Code of Conduct or YouTube™ Community Guidelines, please report it.
When reporting, include the Video Chain URL and a brief explanation of the issue.
This Code of Conduct may be updated as the platform evolves. Continued use of VCM and VCD implies acceptance of the current version.
